Those familiar with the legendary Memphis, Tenn. based power-pop band crash into june will instantly recognize the sounds and pop sensibilities of On the Runway.

On the Runway reunites Dave Norris, lead singer, lyricist and rhythm guitarist of crash into june, and the band's drummer John "Boz" Boswell. The pair recently returned to the studio to reignite the melodic, guitar-oriented energy they blasted out together in previous years, but have opened a new and exciting chapter of hit-making.

“It was time to turn a page and to have fun making music again," said Norris. "And to be inspired by a rebirth, if you will."

"Really though, the music never left--it was just a bit dormant while we went out and experienced more of life. I think of this as getting off pause and pressing play - a second, better-informed journey down the musical path that crash forged in the 90s."

To create their debut EP, All We Have Is Ourselves, Norris and Boswell enlisted the talents of long-time friend, artist and producer Neilson Hubbard (Producer of crash into june's 2003 sophomore effort, another vivid scene). Hubbard produces, plays bass, lends backing vocals, and adds keyboards, piano and percussion.

“Neilson brought a few fresh ideas to the table,” Boswell said. “His many talents have been a real asset.”

On All We Have Is Ourselves, the band deliver five powerful tunes that cover a range of human emotions, from disdain to nostalgia to infatuation.

From the bouncing, confident jangle of lead track "This Charade," to the driving rock of "Lifeline" and "This Will Be Your Year," All We Have Is Ourselves establishes the band as a new and compelling voice in the guitar-pop arena.

Rounding out the debut EP are the dreamy, brooding, and lyrically biting "The Way It Shouldn't Be," and the chiming, anthemic "Stuck On You," elevated by the masterful lead guitar work of veteran Nashville-based musician Will Kimbrough (Emmylou Harris, Jimmy Buffett, The Jayhawks, Rodney Crowell).

Kimbrough features on guitar on all five tracks and was a welcome addition to the sessions. He is no stranger to the pop rock scene either, first coming to prominence with the critically acclaimed, late ‘80s power-pop band Will & the Bushmen.
